Before your holiday guests even enter your home, make them feel welcomed by lining the walkway up to your door with candles. To ensure safety use jam jars, or any other collection of matching glass jars you have on hand and place votive candles inside. If you like, you can fill the containers up one third of the way with coarse salt to create a snow filled look. This warm display will signal to all who approach your front door that something good awaits them ahead. Then inside your home, continue the theme, but be conscious of their exact placement with regards to small children’s safety should you have any visiting at this time.
